Working from life, either on location or from flowers in her garden, Joe Anna Arnett presents her subjects with a passion and reverence for the Creator of the original.
After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, she moved to New York, where she eventually became a Senior Art Director for Young & Rubicam, advertising, and continued her studies in fine arts at the Art Students League.
In 1984, she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she and her husband, James Asher, paint and exhibits their works.
Joe Anna is represented in numerous museum collections and is well known as a teacher and painter of floral, still live and landscape art.
She is the author of,"Painting Sumptuous Vegetables, Fruits & Flowers in Oil," published by North Light Books, 1998, as well a numerous magazine articles for The Artist Magazine and other art publications.
