Atelier™ Golden Taklon Quills bring the perfect amount of color to your surface.  This durable, fine quality brush lays down color evenly and allows excellent control. Add details and fine lines with its' pointed tip or add a background with broad strokes. Great for washes, wet-in-wet techniques and blending, too!

Our Atelier™ art brushes were designed for acrylic and watercolor media artists. These brushes are very thirsty and have a full belly for absorbing a maximum amount of liquid, limiting reload time. The fibers are also quite flexible. They are excellent for laying down a wash, wet-on-wet techniques, fine lines, broad strokes, and petals and leaves.

Our round quill brushes come in a variety of sizes. The fibers are silky-smooth, have maximum color-carrying capacity, and are ideal for fine lines and broad strokes. The short handle is best for tabletop painting.

Silver Brush Limited is the premier supplier of fine painting supplies in the United States. We have created a remarkable collection of high-quality artist brushes. We believe that high-quality brushes lead to higher-quality art.

Specific Way to Clean the Brush

  • Be sure to clean your brush after each painting session. Letting paint dry in the brush can cause it to not perform as expected.
  • Never leave your brush sitting in water for any length of time.
  • If you are painting with acrylics, wipe as much paint off of the brush head as you can before massaging the paint out in warm running water.
  • If you are painting with oils, wipe as much paint off of the brush head as you can before cleaning it with an artist-grade odorless solvent.
  • If you are painting with watercolor or gouache, rinse the head of the brush with warm water until the water runs clear.
  • Always lay your brushes flat to dry. Leaving them upright can cause water and/or excess paint to seep into the metal ferrule and it will eventually ruin the brush.
